Hi! I am just starting this blog and I must confess I am a little excited and anxious at the same time. I am new at this so you’ll have to bear with me OK? First of all a little bit about myself. I love to create new and fresh stuff like jewelry, purses, t-shirts among other things. I am a painter too and I had been showing my art in shows but I cannot stop experimenting with different things. I love to travel, paint, music, read interesting books, I love novels! Lately I have been really into spirituality, meditation and all that kind of stuff. I really need it. Usually I am always in my mind, shredding, analyzing and conceptualizing everything. Yes, you would say I am obsessive, not compulsive, but obsessive. Maybe that obsession is what keeps me creating. My creative process is funny. I am all over the place!!! I don’t really fit the conventional artist stereotype, but when it comes about my creative process, man oh man!!! My studio resembles a little bit what is going on in my mind, chaotic, overstuffed, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, lots of confusion, but also a lot of beautiful results.
However and in spite of that I enjoy doing what I do. I think I will do it till my last day. It is kind of an addiction. A good one. In addition to that I really enjoy a good, rich, hot, energetic, addicting wonderful cup of coffee at any time sitting at a coffee shop or outside my kitchen in my little porch while I recreate my sight and my senses. Yeah! I am a coffee junky. Enough about that, too much information. I hope you enjoy and visit this blog often. Welcome!
January. The very first days of the month are full of hope and expectancy for the near future. You promise yourself you’ll be better in every aspect of your life. You’ll exercise everyday, eat healthy, read that thick philosophy book you’ve always put away, be organized, meditate at least 15 min. a day, relax and learn to handle stress effectively. Well… my new year’s resolutions have just failed today. One by one… I have been failing to keep them. You have a melt down but then you realize tomorrow is another day. We have to remember that resolutions not only start the firsts days of January, we have to continue making resolutions throughout the whole year. So tomorrow I start again. Being strong, organized, positive, brave, facing the new year (and everything it brings) with renewed strength.
